Dear Veterans
In recent days there has
been a lot exchanged on the OROP, namely two braod aspects
- Whether OROP Tables are with / without Weightage Factor
- Satisfaction Level
My Take
- Weighatge Factor
- Not to be added to correct length of service
- Simple as that, else the Pre-2006 will get higher pension
than those who retired in 2013,. Difference will be years WF for each
rank
- Satisfaction Level
- Excel data chart attached - Self explanatory
- Clearly the PBOR have been short changed
- Reasons for short changing
- Not that DESW has manipulated
- but
- No one in the Service Hqs analysed in 2008 that the Pay in
the PB was fixed at a very low level
- Illustration
- Sub Maj - PB 2
- Upper limit of PB 2 - 39100
- Highest Pay in PB fixed at 18980 against a Basic Pay of
10200
- This was approx 48.5% of the upper limit
- Similarly of the other ranks
- Why Offrs suffered less
- Annual increment was much higher
- Difference in the Pay in PB of respective ranks much lesser
Any clarifications, pl get in touch
